NSA Bugging Merkel - Spying For Good Reason

"Why are they spying on me?.. Oh I know...."
In a clear attempt to remove prying eyes from Germany's continuing efforts to create World Germanica 3, German asset Snowden (who undoubtedly will eventually end up in Germany protected by the BND) has provided the information required for Germany to play victim of the big bad USA again.

As our previous posts show (Here and Here), there has been a concerted effort in Germany to demonise the US as the evil empire, much like Jihadis do (but then they are German trained so it should be expected).

Every country knows they are spied on. That is a given, and especially if you are in an influential position.

The faux outrage is because Germany hates the NSA and GCHQ. They know full well that it was British expertise at intercepting and decoding German communications via Bletchley, that really brought an end to the German cultural-imperial dream for a few decades.

Katyn 2. Sensational photo of Putin and Tusk in Polish magazine

This picture was taken shortly after Putin's terrorist attack on the plane crash of Polish president Lech Kaczynski

A portal Alter News published a sensational news with no less sensational photograph of Putin and Poland's Polshevist prime minister Donald Tusk, taking shortly after the Russians blasted the plane of Polish president Lech Kaczynski near a western Russian city of Smolensk on April 10, 2010.

The photo by unknown author is on the cover of a local weekly magazine. It testifies that both politicians do not look upset by the accident, which killed almost all Poland's opposition elite, critical to Russia, including several NATO generals. Rather, both look very happy that suggests that the death of Kaczynski did not break the hearts either of Putin or Tusk, writes PolishVedomosti.

The rise of the German monster

Merkel’s next grand coalition risks fuelling German right-wing populism like never before.
Merkel prepares to negotiate her 'grand coalition'. Demotix/Goncalo Silva. All rights reserved.
On Germany’s sensational election night of September 22, international television viewers were briefly confronted with a surreal image. The electorate’s overwhelming verdict on the chancellorship was clear-cut – Kanzlerin Merkel was to stay in her post. But as the Christian Democrat leader’s bumper victory was being reported live, images were broadcast of opposition social democratic SPD supporters bursting out cheering.
This briefly confused news presenters before they were briefed on what was going on: the SPD was cheering because the pro-business, neoliberal party FDP had been voted out of the Bundestag. But will their cheers prove hollow as Germany's right-wing regroups as an extra-parliamentary force?

Merkel had lost her junior coalition partner in September’s election and the Bundestag balance had shifted to the centre. The chancellor’s conservative CDU-CSU party will be isolated in the Bundestag and this is what prompted the spontaneous election-night outburst of Schadenfreude from the Social Democrats, who had themselves been heavily defeated.

NATO Accepts Germany’s Reform Plan

Germany used to take the back seat within NATO. Now the whole alliance is signing up to the German vision of its future.

AGerman plan to rebuild NATO around several core nations received broad support at a meeting of NATO defense ministers on October 22.
Since the fall of the Berlin Wall, NATO has been struggling with an existential crisis. What does an anti-communist alliance do now that communism has been defeated? The Europeans have been losing interest and cutting their defense budgets, leaving America to pick up the slack. But now America doesn’t want to pay, doesn’t want to entangle its military in foreign struggles and is pivoting away from Europe, toward the Pacific.
Last week, Germany presented its solution: Rebuild NATO around what Germany called a “Framework Nation Concept.”
Europe’s military would be divided into clusters. Individual nations would no longer have to maintain a balanced military. They would be free to specialize, but overall, each cluster would have all the necessary defense resources.
These clusters would be built around a “framework nation”—one of Europe’s larger militaries. This nation would lead the cluster and provide a broad and balanced military as a foundation for other nations to build on. These framework nations would probably include France, the United Kingdom, Germany and Italy.

No Global Warming for 16 Years’ - Part II

Skewing Data to Favor Global Warming

Christopher Monckton interviewed by John Griffing

In Part I of this series, Christopher Monckton answers questions posed by John Griffing about the global warning scare. He provides evidence of data truncation and fabrication, and unjustifiable dramatization to create panic and a false scenario. Here Monckton continues to answer the second question of the previous article, showing how partisans of global warning have altered scientific data to fit their conclusions.

Question: Studies done by Harvard meteorologists have been unable to replicate the extreme scenarios and findings of the IPCC without “data padding.” Has “data padding” obstructed public knowledge of actual temperature trends? Can you explain data padding and other statistical anomalies in global warming discussions to readers? Did the IPCC, in your view, falsify data?

Answer: ... Alteration of scientific conclusions: The final scientific draft of the IPCC’s 1995 Third Assessment Report, submitted by hundreds of participating scientists, had concluded five times that no manmade warming influence is yet discernible:

Investigation into secret project aimed at 2017

It has been postulated what the number “322” under the skull and crossed bones of the Order’s logo or official emblem means. Since the organization was imported from Germany in 1832 as the second chapter of a German order, the “32” denotes the year of origination and the following “2” indicates that it is the second chapter of the organization.

Continuing from our previous entry (Part 7), a more likely theory is that “the Order is descended from a Greek fraternal society dating back to Demosthenes in 322 BC.… Bones records are dated by adding 322 [years] to the current year, i.e., records originating in 1950 are dated Anno Demostheni 2272”.

Inside the Order there are many other numbers and symbols that appear beside the names of the members in the “Catalogue” (or membership list). Although we don’t know for sure, Sutton makes some interesting speculations regarding their possible meaning. The Catalogue contains the birth names of the members, but Sutton tells us: “Entry into the Order is accompanied by an elaborate ritual and no doubt psychological conditioning. For example: Immediately on entering Bones the neophyte’s name is changed. He is no longer known by his name as it appears in the college catalogue but like a monk or Knight of Malta or St. John, becomes Knight so-and-so. The old Knights are then known as Patriarch so-and-so. The outside world are known as Gentiles and vandals.”

Close to Reality and Mission

(Own report) - The Bundeswehr is preparing prospective general staff officers for the invasion of foreign countries and the repression of civil unrest. Scenarios to this effect formed the basis of an informational training exercise for the military's future commanders that ended last week. The large-scale maneuver, which involved a total of 3,500 soldiers and 700 ground and aerial vehicles - carried out in the close vicinity of the former Nazi Bergen-Belsen concentration camp - also exercised combat against insurgents in congested urban areas. Various surveillance drones and elite units specialized in "covert operations" as well as those specialized in psychological warfare were also in action. They trained using live ammunition. According to the German military, the exercise took the "reality" of past warfare into consideration, while anticipating "foreseeable challenges of the future."
Invasion of "Obsidia"
According to the German military, a major maneuver was carried out from September 30, to October 10, at the Bergen and Munster training grounds in the Lueneburg Heath - in the close vicinity of the former Nazi Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp. The so-called "land operations" informational training exercise, with the participation of a total of 3,500 soldiers and 700 ground and aerial vehicles, was aimed at training prospective general and admiral staff officers from the German Armed Forces Staff College and Army officer cadets. To develop a "better understanding" of current and future warfare, one "must smell the gun smoke and hear the explosions," explained one of the course's graduates.[1] The scenario forming the basis for the maneuver foresaw German troops invading the fictitious country of "Obsidia" - with the objective of combating the local insurgents.
House-to-House Combat
The various "training stations" the participants had to pass also included combat in an "urban environment." The combat was carried out according to the following script: After spy drones and "Fennek" reconnaissance tanks had reconnoitered the area, it was "taken over, house-by-house" - "under the din of the volleys fired by the 'Marder' personnel carrier's 20-mm automatic cannons, the cross-fire of machineguns and the Leopard 2 battle tanks' flank protection." The Bundeswehr recounts that engineer corps troops placed "access explosive charges" in individual buildings, while armored infantry demonstrated the "rapid capture of smaller groups of houses" and snipers "kept watch for dangerous point targets." According to the troops, the "house-to-house combat" alone does not suffice. It merely creates the "prerequisites for the rapid continuation of the attack into the depths of the flanks of enemy forces kept under comprehensive surveillance."[2]

No Global Warming for 16 Years’ - Part I

No Significant Sea Level Changes Since 1993

Christopher Monckton interviewed by John Griffing
This long interview with Christopher Monckton, which we took the liberty to break down into a series, was granted to WND and originally appeared on its website on January 6, 2013. Given the importance of many of the topics addressed and the fact it was not broadly disseminated, we decided to reproduce it on the TIA website for the benefit of our readers. The titles of each part are ours. The Editor.

Christopher Monckton explains truth of scandal over climate change

The attendees at the recent global “climate” conference in Doha, Qatar, most of them highly influential and powerful in their home countries, were treated to a special address recently.

“There has been no global warming for 16 years (actually 18 or 19 years, on closer examination),” the speaker said. “Even if warming were to occur at the predicted rate this century, it would be many times cheaper to adapt to it … rather than to attempt, futilely, to mitigate it today. An independent scientific enquiry would be a good idea, to make sure that the conferences on the climate were still heading in the right direction.”

Those words are what Christopher Monckton of Brenchley, described as the high priest of climate skepticism and a regular columnist for WND, recalls telling the stunned crowd of affluent attendees.

He addressed the conference, which had just finished hours of consultation and discussion on how to prepare for the catastrophe long predicted by Al Gore, that of global warming. “My intervention in Doha was on the spur of the moment, right at the end of the final plenary session when no one else wanted to speak,” he told WND. “The intervention gained very substantial international publicity, and I had not expected this. As a result, it is now widely known that there has been no global warming at all for more than a decade and a half.

President Obama and the ‘Most Shameful’ Phone Call in U.S. History

In the great game of international relations, small gestures matter greatly.

he year was 1813. Napoleon Bonaparte, Europe’s emperor and the most feared man on the Continent, had just suffered defeat in Russia. Having retreated to Dresden to lick his wounds and plot future action, Bonaparte agreed to a meeting with Prince Klemens von Metternich, Austria’s chancellor, architect of a developing alliance of European powers.
The exchange was tense. Toward the end Bonaparte was so frustrated, gesticulating so furiously, he accidentally dropped his hat. But it was no accident. Wily Bonaparte was measuring Metternich’s subservience. A fearful subject would bow and pick up the hat. Instead, Metternich ignored the hat and carried on as if he hadn’t even noticed. “Napoleon,” he later wrote, “seemed to me small.” Metternich’s action was more powerful than 10,000 words. His message, to Napoleon and Europe, resonated: Europe would no longer bow before Bonaparte.
In the high-stakes world of geopolitics, small gestures matter greatly.

Behind closed doors: The secrets contained within the imposing walls of the Kremlin

The Independent

It's been a symbol of Russia for centuries, yet many of us know very little about the Kremlin. Catherine Merridale reveals the secrets contained within the vast Moscow complex

Everyone has some idea of what the Kremlin is. The red stars and the ring of Gothic-looking walls and towers have represented Russia and its government so many times that they are like a trademark.

Today, it is the flag of the Russian Federation that flutters from a handsome cupola inside the walls; the implication is that Putin's Russia is as mighty and immutable as any historic empire. But that is not the only message written in the stone and brick. The secret is to look behind the dazzling facades.

In the eight centuries of its existence, the Kremlin has been used to symbolise everything from Soviet dictatorship and proletarian revolution to imperial tsarism and even an inscrutable theocracy. The palaces are opulent, but there is menace here, as well as power. In 1839, a celebrated French traveller called the Marquis de Custine described the fortress as a "satanic monument", "a habitation that would suit some of the personages of the Apocalypse". "Like the bones of certain gigantic animals," he concluded, "the Kremlin proves to us the history of a world of which we might doubt until after seeing the remains."

But there is far more to the Kremlin than a pile of ancient bones. Its timelessness is the result of careful image-management. Parts of the citadel are truly old, including its most sacred building, the Cathedral of the Dormition whose structure was completed in 1479. The paved square around this is the focus of most guided tours, and it includes two other cathedrals, a 16th-century belltower and a palace that looks like a giant jewel-box.

Will Israel’s Left Destroy Israel?

The anniversaries of the Yom Kippur War and the Rabin assassination have come and gone. Both historical events are national traumas laden with ambiguous meanings.

The Yom Kippur War destroyed the political fortunes of Golda Meir and Moshe Dayan and moved Rabin into the big chair. Rabin couldn’t hold on to power as Labor corruption ended the unbroken rule of the left commencing what was effectively fifteen years of rule by the right.

Rabin’s return to power was an equally brief window for the left. Since Peres’ loss to Netanyahu, there has only been one Labor prime minister and he barely lasted two years in office.

From one angle, Israel has emerged out of the shadows of the left. Under conservative governments, it has modernized and innovated. The Israel of the startup probably would not exist if the kibbutz was still a viable proposition. From another angle, Israel is a conservative country in the grip of an unelected left.

The peace process, a desperate attempt by the Labor Party to become relevant again, is headed into its third decade. The casualties of the endless Peace War and the expansion of the enemy’s capabilities to the point that Tel Aviv and Jerusalem have been shelled are all terrible, but they are not the real threat.

Communist Goals (1963)

Congressional Record--Appendix, pp. A34-A35 January 10, 1963

Current Communist Goals

Thursday, January 10, 1963

Mr. HERLONG. Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., is an ardent and articulate opponent of communism, and until recently published the De Land Courier, which she dedicated to the purpose of alerting the public to the dangers of communism in America.

At Mrs. Nordman's request, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following "Current Communist Goals," which she identifies as an excerpt from "The Naked Communist," by Cleon Skousen:

[From "The Naked Communist," by Cleon Skousen]

1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.

2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.

4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

1999 - Conservative MEPs and the European People's Party: Time for Divorce

Martin Ball, Jonathan Collett

C.I.A. Warning on Snowden in ’09 Said to Slip Through the Cracks

WASHINGTON — Just as Edward J. Snowden was preparing to leave Geneva and a job as a C.I.A. technician in 2009, his supervisor wrote a derogatory report in his personnel file, noting a distinct change in the young man’s behavior and work habits, as well as a troubling suspicion.

Edward J. Snowden now lives in Moscow, where he surfaced this week for the first time since receiving temporary asylum.
The C.I.A. suspected that Mr. Snowden was trying to break into classified computer files to which he was not authorized to have access, and decided to send him home, according to two senior American officials.

But the red flags went unheeded. Mr. Snowden left the C.I.A. to become a contractor for the National Security Agency, and four years later he leaked thousands of classified documents. The supervisor’s cautionary note and the C.I.A.’s suspicions apparently were not forwarded to the N.S.A. or its contractors, and surfaced only after federal investigators began scrutinizing Mr. Snowden’s record once the documents began spilling out, intelligence and law enforcement officials said.

“It slipped through the cracks,” one veteran law enforcement official said of the report.

Europe and America: Our Common Crisis

Mr. President, Distinguished Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen,

Many thanks for the invitation to come to Hillsdale again, after long 13 years. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to address such a distinguished audience this evening. You may not be aware of it, but during these 13 years, I was, more or less, all the time in touch with your college. I had a permanent contact with you through your monthly journal Imprimis which I have always considered an obligatory reading. I was always looking forward to receiving the next copy. Thanks to Imprimis, I was able to follow your never-ending effort to promote liberty, free markets, rule of law and free speech, all of which are under attack – both here and in Europe now.

The title of my speech here, at Hillsdale, 13 years ago, in March 2000, was: “The Problems of Liberty in a Newly Born Democracy and Market Economy”. At that moment, it was different. Communism was over. The dismantling of its institutions proved to be faster than anyone expected, the resistance of the old regime and its representatives was relatively weak, and we were able to complete the radical transformation of our whole political, social and economic system in a – historically – very short period. This process of transformation was in my country, in the Czech Republic, probably smoother and with lower economic and social costs than in any other post-communist country.

The Most Important Country in the EU

2013/10/09 BERLIN/TEHERAN (Own report) - German foreign policy makers are playing a prominent role in the rapprochement between the West and Iran. As Jürgen Todenhöfer (CDU), a former member of the Bundestag, explains, he conveyed Teheran's negotiating proposal for solving the nuclear dispute to Washington already in the spring of 2010. At the time, the Iranian government had proposed that the German Finance Minister, Wolfgang Schäuble, serve as mediator. Catherine Ashton, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and her German deputy, Helga Schmid, are playing key roles in the current talks on Iran's nuclear program. Prior to her EU position in Brussels, Schmid had made a career in the German Foreign Ministry as chief of staff for Foreign Minister Joseph Fischer. Iran's President Hassan Rohani, in return, is promoting Germany's prominent role in his country's EU policy. Berlin welcomes the new rapprochement between the West and Iran. German Middle East experts point out that, if this rapprochement should be successful, it would also lead to far-reaching geo-strategic shifts, initially affecting Syria.

The Role of Traditional Values in Europe's Future

Prime Minister’s Speech at the Chatham House

My Lords, Your Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen.

First of all, allow me please to say thank you for inviting me here today. It is my honor to address you here, and since I do not want to take advantage of your patience and the aim of my remarks is to invite a discussion, I will summarize my thoughts in short theses. But before saying anything wise, I think I should briefly say something about myself. First of all, I’m a Hungarian. I am sure you do know a lot about Hungary. We have an interesting history and we speak a unique language. We have a saying about ourselves: if you have a Hungarian friend you do not need an enemy. This proves that self-reflection and self-irony is not too far from us. But as for the future, our most important skill is our innovative way of thinking. Just to give you an idea: Hungarians have invented the computer, the ball point pen and the espresso. It is not a bad composition. My basic political experiences originate from the underground anti-communist movements. Later on, I won elections and I lost some as well. I have led a coalition government and now I am backed by a two-third majority in Parliament. This is very rare in Europe. Maybe this is the reason why I have looked at the crisis primarily not as a problem, rather as a possibility to deliver deep structural reforms. As we say in Hungary: more than reforms, renewal of the country. By the way Europe: in the oId times, I saw Europe from a perspective from where it looked like an unreachable land. I chaired the parliamentary committee on European integration; as prime minister I led the accession talks and I had the chance to see a European Union full of strength, optimism and self-confidence. But what can I see now? Totally the opposite. An uncertain European Union without a clear vision about its future.

A plan to assassinate Pope Pius XII?

Exclusive: Gen. Ion Mihai Pacepa makes compelling case that Stalin tried to kill pontiff

Editor’s note: Today – marking the 55th anniversary of the death of Pope Pius XII on Oct. 9, 1958 – WND is publishing, as a world exclusive, an original analysis of a heretofore unreported plot by Soviet dictator Iosif Stalin to assassinate Pope Pius XII.

The writer, Lt. Gen. Ion Mihai Pacepa, is the highest-ranking Soviet bloc intelligence official ever to defect to the West, having spent years at the highest levels of the communist espionage world as Romanian President Nicolae Ceausescu’s top adviser and head of that nation’s foreign intelligence service. After his defection to the U.S., Pacepa’s first book, “Red Horizons,” was credited with playing a major role in the overthrow of the communist tyrant Ceausescu, and was embraced by President Ronald Reagan who called it “my bible for dealing with dictators.”

Pacepa’s latest book, co-authored by historian Ronald Rychlak, is “Disinformation: Former Spy Chief Reveals Secret Strategies for Undermining Freedom, Attacking Religion, and Promoting Terrorism.” One of the major Soviet disinformation campaigns the book exposes is the elaborate and maniacal effort to “frame” Pope Pius XII as a collaborator with Hitler – when the truth was just the opposite. Winston Churchill called Pius “the greatest man of our time,” and Albert Einstein wrote, “Only the Church protested against the Hitlerian onslaught on liberty. Up till then I had not been interested in the Church, but today I felt a great admiration for the Church, which alone has had the courage to struggle for spiritual truth and moral liberty.” In fact, the chief rabbi of Rome and his wife, Israel and Emma Zolli, converted to Catholicism, with Zolli adopting the Christian name Eugenio, to honor the man who, according to him, had done so much to protect the Jews during the war: Pope Pius XII, born Eugenio Pacelli.
Did Iosif Stalin try to assassinate Pope Pius XII?

There is now strong evidence that he did. And from the Russian tyrant’s point of view, why not? The outcome of World War II opened Stalin’s horizon to the great game of international politics and gave him the confidence that, with a little ingenuity, he and Russia could become No. 1 in the world. He saw Pope Pius XII as his only rival for world domination.

Notes for the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation Award Speech

Thank you very much for this very high award, for the Truman-Reagan Medal of Freedom. I am deeply honoured by it. I am also very moved by the list of the very distinguished names of those personalities who received this award in the past. Let me use this opportunity to express my gratitude to all of you for keeping the memory of the victims of communism alive and, more generally, for not letting communism to be forgotten. Neither in this country nor elsewhere.
As I said, communism must not be forgotten. The tragedies connected with it must not be marginalized, must not be politically correctly misinterpreted or even excused, must not be taken as an unrepeatable aberration which happened more or less by accident. No. Communism – with its tens of millions of victims and hundreds of millions of frustrated and denigrated people, who suffered years and decades, forced to live in this irrational and oppressive regime – is, regretfully, an integral part of human history. It did not appear out of nowhere. It followed similar ideas and ideologies which also considered liberty and freedom, and with them individual human beings, of secondary importance. Communism was – together with Nazism – just an extreme version of attitudes and political stances which were structurally not very different. The problem is that such ideologies are here, with us, again.

Sleeping Demons

2013/10/07  BERLIN
(Own report) - Berlin has launched a new offensive to consolidate its predominance over the EU and strengthen its geopolitical position. On the occasion of this year's national holiday, last week, German President Joachim Gauck claimed that more and more "voices" in Germany and abroad are demanding that his country should play "a stronger role in Europe and the world." Germany is "not an island" and should not "belittle" itself in the future, after all, it is the "fourth largest economic power in the world." As his source of inspiration, he also named the Polish foreign minister, who had called for "German leadership" already in late 2011, and a prominent transatlantic publicist, who had recently called on Berlin to act "more resolutely" in the EU following the elections. Gauck's offensive had been carefully prepared in the foreign policy establishment. Whereas sectors of the elite in other EU countries condone German "leadership," large majorities of the populations in the southern EU countries are criticizing German predominance. The intra-European power struggles are continuing. Already a few months ago, Luxemburg's Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker had warned that he can see similarities to the period leading up to WW I.

In a generation or two, the US will ask itself: 'who lost Europe ?’

Geert Wilders is a Dutch Member of Parliament, leader of the second most popular political party.

In a generation or two, the US will ask itself: 'who lost Europe ?’

Here is the speech of Geert Wilders, Chairman, Party for Freedom, the Netherlands, at the Four Seasons, New York, introducing an Alliance of Patriots and announcing the Facing Jihad Conference in Jerusalem.

Islamification of Europe

Dear friends, Thank you very much for inviting me. I come to America with a mission.

All is not well in the old world.

There is a tremendous danger looming, and it is very difficult to be optimistic.

We might be in the final stages of the Islamization of Europe. This not only is a clear and present danger to the future of Europe itself, it is a threat to America and the sheer survival of the West. The United States as the last bastion of Western civilization, facing an Islamic Europe.

First I will describe the situation on the ground in Europe . Then, I will say a few things about Islam. To close I will tell you about a meeting in Jerusalem .

The Europe you know is changing.

THE SATURDAY ESSAY: Time for the Blogosphere to fight the Establishment on its own terms

Maybe the Resistance needs to be less virtual and more litigious

In the last few days, The Slog passed 8 million hits alltime, having started up in January 2009. It continues to add core, loyal users….but its average daily readership ticks over at around 8,500. Although its highest ever figure was over 42,000 last year, the site remains very much a niche one. I think there are a number for reasons for this.

One is undoubtedly that I have pulled back dramatically from investigation-generated news of an exclusive nature. Not only was it becoming very expensive and time-consuming, I found that it attracted rubber-neckers for a day or two, who then drifted off again. Above any other consideration influencing my decision, however, is the essentially transient, generic nature of ‘news’: news rarely explains, it merely records. News-junkies devour it voraciously but usually have little interest in overall socio-cultural change. The loyal, regular followers The Slog attracts today stand at around 6-7000 in number. By and large, they are people who know the human race is facing a potentially catastrophic crisis – very probably the collapse of personal liberty, genuine democracy, material well-being, and the rule of egalitarian Law for most of us. That is still, let’s face it, the view of a tiny minority.

The Liberals’ Schizophrenic Love Affair With Europe

Just a few days ago, I heard some attorneys lamenting that we in this country, don't have a three day weekend every week, "like they do in France". I smirked into my Kindle, not wanting to cause a tropical downpour on the poor devils' parade. France doesn't have three day weekends every week, and while the French don't live to work, like most modern Americans, they certainly don't enjoy the idyllic, work- and worry-free existence most American liberals think they do.

The myth is symptomatic of the disordered and downright schizophrenic American liberal view of (western) Europe. On the one hand, the denizens of Manhattan's Upper East Side and LA's Beverly Hills profess their undying love for European cuisine, brag about visiting Paris and Rome, and try to insert phrases such as "beaucoup" and "ciao" into every day conversation. On the other hand, they lack any understanding of European history beyond such Hollywood movie/pop fiction topics as World War II and perhaps, the French Revolution.

I bet most American college graduates wouldn't be able to cogently explain who Joan of Arc was and what war she participated in. Besides their ignorance of western European history, they react with shrieking, pale-faced outrage at any suggestion that European culture is both superior and worth preserving. As if the architecture, cuisine, and language that they so admire will survive an onslaught of Arabs and Africans for which these same liberals are clamoring. The fools want to eat their baguette and have it too.

Insular Military Solutions

BERLIN (Own report) - On the occasion of the December European Council meeting on European Security and Defense Policy (ESDP), the CDU-affiliated Konrad Adenauer Foundation is applying pressure to have new steps made toward the intensification of EU military cooperation. According to a paper recently published by the foundation, the meeting - the first of its kind since 2003 - should assist in significantly enhancing the military clout of European countries. Given the fact that European military budgets are continuing to shrink and the previous rudiments of closer cooperation ("pooling and sharing") have not really taken hold, new measures must be introduced. Under the slogan, "Insular Solutions," the foundation pleads for the integration of the armed forces of a few states, first, at the regional level, to then make further attempts to consolidate these at the EU level. This concept is not only aimed at wearing down existing national resistance to the possible weakening of national arms industries, but also to weaken the British-French military alliance founded in November 2011 - seen as an obstacle to German military predominance in the EU.

New Swing
The proposals on EU military policy, being raised in the CDU-affiliated Konrad Adenauer Foundation's recently published strategy paper, is initially directed toward the European Council on European Security and Defense Policy to be held in December. The author of the paper, Maik Zarandi, member of the Young Foreign and Security Policy specialists working group at the foundation, points to the fact that this will be the first meeting of heads of governments of its kind since 2003. It will offer "a great opportunity" to "provide new swing at the top political level" to "the multifaceted, deficient project of reinforcing EU defense policy capabilities," according to Zarandi.[1] This is desperately necessary for two reasons.

How Soviet Intelligence Promoted Christian Marxism

dis When you can’t beat them, join them. That’s what the Soviet Union did to curtail Christianity’s anti-communist influence. In a new book titled Disinformation, a covert campaign to discredit Pope Piux XII is revealed. In addition, the Soviets tried to influence the church with a Marxist-friendly version of Christianity.

The communists’ strategy against the church had three pillars: A propaganda offensive; the implanting of agents of influence and the promotion of Liberation Theology, an anti-Western spin on scripture.

Disinformation is written by Ion Mihai Pacepa, the highest-ranking Soviet bloc defector and Ronald Rychlak, Professor of Law at the University of Mississippi. A related documentary has also been released, titled Disinformation: The Secret Strategy to Destroy the West. They disclose how a primary target of Soviet “active measures” was Pope Pius XII.

Global governance: under cover of simplification

Richard North03/10/2013

With an amount of fanfare, ignored by most media, with the exception of the ever-loyal BBC, the Financial Times and Reuters, the European Commission announced yesterday that it was set to take further "ambitious" measures to cut "red-tape", and reduce the amount regulation it produces.

Sold as evidence of a more "pragmatic" EU, this is a programme called "Refit – fit for growth". Ostensibly, yesterday's announcement of "next steps" follows on from a statement made as part of Barroso's "state of the union" address last month, when he declared that "Europe" should be "big on the big things and smaller on small things".

Certainly, the few legacy media reports on this are taking the initiative at face value. Chris Morris, for BBC News in Brussels, even tells us that this is "the European Commission saying 'we hear you' - we hear the clamour for less regulation and interference".

A closer examination of the agenda, however, reveals that there is a darker, more sinister side to the initiative. In short, the "simplification" process is being used as a cover for the ongoing process of legislative harmonisation with global bodies such as the WTO, often through the aegis of UNECE.

Are We Too Late to Stop U.N. Agenda 21?

Excerpts from:
Are We Too Late to Stop U.N. Agenda 21?
 U.N. Agenda 21 cabal
By Dr. Ileana Johnson Paugh

The global cabal of U.N. Agenda 21 is behind global warming, regionalism, zoning, land and water use control, wealth redistribution, weakening and eventual replacement of the dollar as the world’s reserve currency, global warming, cap and trade, Smart Grid, Smart Meters, carbon taxes, high gasoline prices, global citizens, IB World Schools, Common Core nationalized education standards, biofuels, Marxist advancement across the globe, food control, water access control via the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST), gun control, health control, the Arab Spring/Winter, unchecked illegal immigration, and they are unstoppable.
They’ve had 100 years of preparation ahead of us. Their effort is bearing fruit on every facet of our lives and around the globe.
I am certainly not advocating surrender, freedom is worth fighting for, and we are the last bastion of freedom in America. If America goes, so does the rest of the world. Other nations want us to fight because they’ve given up....
Having survived communism and seeing all the elements of global governance, I am not going to mince words. I have already been labeled “aggender” because I have ample research evidence that Agenda 21 exists, a “denier” because I do not believe in global warming. It is a manufactured crisis by the Club of Rome, IPCC, and other like-minded environmentalist-based groups and NGOs, based on verbal agreement called “consensus,” and faulty and manipulated data....
