It is rare in any age that a single book can so comprehensively document and analyze a historical movement as to be capable of defining it. In the aftermath of World War II, which shattered western civilization to a degree unparalleled in history, it was William Shirer’s monumental “The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich” which cohesively linked the chain of events that led to the nightmare of Hitler’s Germany. Yet Shirer’s work came as a heartrending post-mortem of the European War, explaining to a yet unbelieving world how such an atrocity could have unfolded in its midst, among ostensibly “civilized” people.

There is an old adage which says that man exists in a continuum. He goes from bondage to faith, from faith to hope, from hope to courage, from courage to freedom, from freedom to abundance, from abundance to complacency, from complacency to dependency, and from dependency back to bondage. The original author of the adage is not known, but it matters little who said it. What matters is whether or not it is an immutable truth and whether or not American “exceptionalism” might allow us to bypass the ugliest stop on that continuum.

Recent polling results would have our attention pulled toward the issue of Obama’s faith; is he Christian or Muslim? The answer would have to be, neither; Obama is a statist and has no faith in anything other than big government, bigger government and eventually total government. There’s an old lawyer joke which goes, “How do you know when a lawyer is lying? — His lips are moving.” The same holds true for Obama; but it’s no joke and nobody’s laughing.

Just before London morphed into Londonistan and became the hotbed for international terrorism, the Muslims in the UK cowed the Brits into submission by calling them “bigots” who were being “intolerant” of their “Religion of Peace.” If you don’t believe me, check out Melanie Phillips’ heavily footnoted book, Londonistan, which spells out with Windex-like clarity how our cousins across the pond fell under the PC spell, got neutered and now have a Muslim mess on their hands. This book will wake you the heck up regarding what’s going on right now in NYC … I ga-ron-tee!

Marcus Tullius Cicero, who was born in 105 B.C. and was beheaded by Antony's soldiers in 43 B.C, writes in On the Laws, “Law was neither a thing to be contrived by the genius of man, nor established by any decree of the people, but a certain eternal principle, which governs the entire universe, wisely commanding what is right and prohibiting what is wrong.” In the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson echoes this eternal truth when he explains that the function of government is to secure God-given rights. How do we know about these rights? Cicero explains that the supreme law is “the mind of God” and that from the moment of our existence, through our power of reason, God incites us to do good and deters us from evil.

The controversy surrounding the Park 51/Cordoba House project – promoted by the Cordoba Initiative and headed by Feisal Abdul Rauf – is one that illustrates the full range of the ideological clash between the Islamic culture and the culture of the West. Whether Liberals, Progressives and apologists care to admit it or not the fundamentalist Islamist factions of the Arab world are actively attempting to advance their influence on the world; in every nation and every culture. In their attempt at establishing an elevated influence around the world this fundamentalist faction seeks not to be accepted as equals or to assimilate, but to enter into foreign cultures as a privileged and exempt class.

Given the far-reaching implications of illegal immigration, and more recently the Left's objections to enforcing immigration law in border states like Arizona, the 14th Amendment of our Constitution is receiving some long-overdue attention.Like every contemporary political debate, the questions raised concerning the meaning of the 14th Amendment are, essentially, about whether we are a nation subject to Rule of Law codified in our Constitution, or we are subjects under the rule of men, subject to a "living constitution" amended primarily by judicial diktat and legislative mischief, rather than amended by the people, as prescribed in Article V.

During the Great Depression of the 1930s, the unemployment rate rose to a high of 24.9% in 1933, fell to 14.3% in 1937, and rose again to 19.0% in 1938 after six years of Keynesian tinkering by the Roosevelt administration. By contrast, current jobless rates, hovering at just under 10% are, at first glance, much less severe. However, it should be noted that Americans of today live much closer to the “edge” than did our parents and grandparents. We save much less for a “rainy day” and we buy many more luxuries on credit than any past generation.

Ever since the advent of the Obama Administration, and its systematic corruption and destruction of the nation’s constitutional framework, Americans have fervently anticipated their opportunity to atone for their past sins by way of the 2010 mid-term elections. That season is now upon us. As primary election races are concluded across the nation, and candidates head into the general election cycle, a drastic sea change can be expected in the conduct of political contests, as well as their coverage by the media.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a Progressive-Leftist from San Francisco, said when asked for her opinion on the construction of an Islamic Center and mosque just 500 feet from the footprint of the World Trade Center – Ground Zero – that the controversy had been “ginned up” for political purposes and that she would support an examination of the funding behind the “opposition movement.” Said the Speaker "There is no question that there is a concerted effort to make this a political issue by some...And I join those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque (is) being funded."

In support of his Muslim brothers, Obama is once again ignoring the will of the American public in favor of Muslim desires. This ignorance again shows how disconnected his highness really is from working America. "Radical Islam" has not contributed to the greatness of this country in any way, shape, or form, and has been used as the basis to attack us. Obama can't seem to fathom that.

What a bunch of saps Americans are! It seems they will believe just about anything, just so long as the "anything" is delivered by someone in authority, or someone who purports to possess the necessary credentials. Very few of us apply our innate logic, intellect, reason or common sense to the "crap" that government dishes out. It also appears that truth is the first casualty of a corrupt government. In its place comes a never-ending parade of propaganda, hype, distortions and lies with which to manipulate the masses.
